Serge Mouille, an emblematic figure of twentieth-century lighting design, left his mark on design history with his revolutionary “Formes Noires” series in the 1950s. These pieces, which have become extremely rare since the artist’s death, are enjoying a renaissance thanks to our dedication to preserving their original essence. Serge Mouille’s series of luminous columns is the least well-known. The vertical balance, emphasized by right-angled offsets, and the stability of the steel base give “Signals” their quality as architectural beacons. Three sizes are available: 108 cm, 192 cm and 222 cm. The main light source is a neon tube, in keeping with the fashion of the 60s, when they were created. In addition, a bulb is discreetly integrated into the top of the aluminum blades, projecting indirect light towards the ceiling. Each light source is independently controllable, enabling a variety of lighting effects. The columns are available in an anodized or brushed aluminum finish, with no option for other colors, highlighting their minimalist, modern aesthetic.
