A FAMILY LEGACY

Editions Serge Mouille: Tradition & authenticity.

Serge Mouille settled in Monthiers, in the south of the Aisne, in 1963, and it was just few kilometers from his village that Editions Serge Mouille® (ESM) are now committed to continuing the production of his works. ESM may have only recently taken off, but its long history is rooted in the philosophy and projects of Serge Mouille himself.

An independent family business, Editions Serge Mouille® was founded in 1999 by Serge’s widow, Gin Mouille, and Claude Delpiroux. Sadly, Gin passed away in June 2009 and Claude in October 2016. His son Didier is now in charge of continuing the adventure, and Pascal Mouille, Serge’s son, is in charge of business development.

From the beginning, it was a matter of working in the artisanal spirit to which the designer was so attached, in conformity with the originals, in terms of shapes, sizes and colors. Preferring that his creations retain the quality of handwork and finishing, Serge Mouille never wanted to move into industrial production.

The search for authenticity, respect for the original work, the skills and the manufacturing process are and remain one of the founding values of Editions Serge Mouille.®.

Tribute to the founder

The legacy of Claude Delpiroux

“When I say we’re a rare bird, it’s because we’re the only French publisher of a French designer working in the artisanal spirit to which Serge has always been attached, and who had ceased production so as not to become an industrialist”.

In partnership with Serge’s widow, Gin Mouille, Claude Delpiroux sensed early on that the era was ripe for the re-edition of post-war design classics. Under his influence, Editions Serge Mouille® has continued to grow and develop worldwide.

This man of dialogue and incisive humor will be fondly remembered by all who knew him!
